How to Block, Restrict, and Report Users

We’ve updated the block and restrict experience to make it consistent across all areas of our platform.

From a user’s profile:

  • Go to the user’s profile 👉 Click the three dots menu 👉 Select “Block,” “Restrict,” or “Report”

From Messages:

  • Open the chat with the user 👉 Click the three dots menu 👉 Select “Block,” “Restrict,” or “Report”

What happens next?

  • When you select “Block” or “Restrict,” you’ll see two options:

    • Block (or Restrict) only

    • Block and Report (or Restrict and Report)

  • If you choose “Block and Report” or “Restrict and Report,” you’ll be asked to provide a reason for the report.

  • After submitting your reason, you’ll see a green confirmation message pop up at the bottom of the screen.
